Forbidden City Restaurant in Hanover

Google says they’re open, but they’re closed until further notice.

We' just went there for Dinner' was not impressed' The Sauce on the Garlic chicken tasted like it came out of a box' and a few bites tasted spoiled. Yuke" please dont waste your time or money. The crab wontons had no taste' and were fried to hard. Over Priced big time two meals without eggs rolls was over $33.00. We drank water we didn't even have soda or tea.The Chinese place in Spring Grove " called Great Dragon has very good Chinese Food. Also was told by a friend the Hong Kong on the South end of Hanover is very good.I haven't tried it my self' but I will. Forbidden City👎 is definitely a no Return' for us. One and Done

I absolutely LOVE this place. Only Chinese restaurant I will eat at! The owner, Kathy is a pleasure. She knows most of her customers by name and keeps up with what is going on in their lives. Wonderful ace and wonderful people. Highly recommended!

Strongly disagree with Erlene! My family has been eating here for the last 20+ years. It is hands down the finest Chinese restaurant in the area! They serve large jumbo shrimp not the typical tiny shrimp. Seafood portions are generous. Their food is always fresh and flavorful. The restaurant is clean. The prices are reasonable. The owner is quite pleasant and if ANYTHING is not to satisfaction she will make sure it’s made right. I will continue to support this business. I’m fact my now adult kids still request to go here when they are home.

Great quality Chinese food, which is a rarity this far from the city. The prices are right, everything is cooked perfectly, and the portions are generous. If you've got the craving, definitely stop by!

It was awesome... stopped in for a buffet, but pleasantly surprised when our food arrived.. our waitress was sweet, the food was great. What more to say?

I love the food and the designs inside.

They are very good, egg rolls are the real deal and so us the wonton soup, two things i look for when judging a Chinese restaurant. They've been in business a long time. I get fried rice, always good. Shrimp dishes use large shrimp, again real deal.

This is our favorite Chinese restaurant in the area. Always great food and service, never any waiting.

It wasn't that the food on the buffet didnt taste good, just wasn't great. Small selection and had to wait several times for a few items, very small amounts of food placed on buffet at a time

The food and service are always 150% could not be any better. I've eaten here 40+ times. I love it!

I can't say enough about this place. Mrs. Kathy is always so nice when we go in and knows us by name and we're probably only there once a month. The food is always amazing and they even have gluten free options which can be difficult to find. Definitely a staple in this household.
